Suggested Improvements — Week 3: The Loop
Questions for Personalization
- What argument are you replaying that ended three years ago?
- Which loop feels closest to a boundary you cannot name?
- Where does your anger want to go if you stop editing it?
- What did you say twice in the same transcript and pretend you only said it once?
- What happens in your body when the loop starts—temperature, breath, focus?
Suggested Improvements
- Add a loop mapping template with columns: Trigger / Charge / Avoided Topic / First Appearance.
- Include a section on distinguishing looping from healing—repetition is not always stuckness; sometimes it is the mind rehearsing a new ending.
- Expand the log with a check for external feedback: did anyone mention this loop before you saw it?

A Special Preface for the American Edition
“I am laughing at something very funny that has just passed through my head. There is nothing better than a good laugh for a man who is angry!… I have changed my mind, I am not going away to-night.”

The Recursive Self Infinite recursion and the stack overflow of self-questioning—when “Who am I?” becomes the loop instead of the doorway.
