Begin with Every Flower, Every Ocean

The opening sequence follows the desire to experience every place and possibility, then asks what it means to put down roots. Its eight short reads begin with Joy / Wisdom.

After that opening, the path branches into The Body Is the First Country and Borders Cannot Hold a Garden. Either completed branch leads to The Machine That Dreamed of Freedom. Together, the current edition contains 62 short reads.

Read and write back

Email sign-in remembers your progress. Each read has one or two author questions and a public note. Answering them opens the next read. Answers to author questions stay private to you and the author; the public note appears for other readers of that work. You can sign within the note if you want to.

For individual writing without the atlas sequence, explore the journal on Adicheo.

Two connected homes

Adicheo holds the wider body of work: the journal, projects, practical services, and invitations. Escondido Dreams is where the writing becomes a connected experience. Field Notes will bring selected work and invitations together.

In development

Illustrated selections, audio readings, author replies, and new ways to connect stories are possible next editions. They are being explored; they are not presented as live features.

The original concept outline and the chapter notes below preserve an earlier development stage. They are distinct from the current reading atlas.
