You survived the crash. Death wiped the drive. The screen went black. Now, the system comes back online. But the interface is different.
Temperance is the Integration. It is the moment after the trauma where you stop fighting the new reality and start working with it.
Look at the Angel. One foot on the dry earth (Reality/Conscious). One foot in the water (Emotion/Subconscious). She is pouring liquid from one cup to another. But look closely—she isn’t spilling a drop. The fluid flows sideways. This is physics-defying. This is Alchemy.
In code, this is a git merge. You are taking the radical changes from the “Death” branch and merging them into the “Main” branch without breaking the build. You are combining the Fire of The Chariot with the Water of The Hanged Man to create Steam (Power).
Most people oscillate. They are bipolar in their habits. They binge, then they purge. They hustle for 18 hours, then they sleep for 12. They are 0 or 1. Temperance is the Analog Signal. It is the gradient. It is the realization that the “Middle Way” isn’t a compromise. It is the path of highest tension and highest control.
It takes more strength to hold the center than to swing to the extreme. It takes a master to mix the poison and the cure to make the medicine.
Do not discard your demons. Dilute them until they become your fuel.
