He stands on the peak of a snowy mountain. Why snow? Because it is cold, sterile, and silent. Nothing grows there but the Truth. He holds a lantern. He turns his back on the world not because he hates it, but because he needs to figure out how to save it. He is the system admin staring at the blinking cursor in a dark room, rewriting the kernel while the users sleep.
If you are never alone, you are never yourself.
